5 Reasons It’s Better to Buy estate houses for sale in Lekki, Abuja and Ogun state

Some people avoid to buy estate houses in Lagos and Abuja, basically they believe estate properties in Lekki, Ajah etc are overhyped and too expensive. They would rather buy a property outside an estate in Lagos, either in a community or from a family, where they won’t be paying any monthly service charges.

But, are there advantages in buying estate houses in Lekki, Abuja etc over those houses for sale outside an estate in these same locations?.

1) Neighbours and Neighbourhood

In the urban cities in Nigeria like Lekki, Ikoyi, Abuja, Ibadan etc, there are several tribes and people from different backgrounds and personalities, some of them are people you won’t want to live with.

Properties and Houses for sale in an estate comes with regulations and restrictions, and the price of these houses financially excludes some certain categories of people from living there. So, when you buy in an estate, you will be living with like-minded entrepreneurs and business minded people, that itself saves a lot of trouble.

2) Uniformity

Modern estates in Abuja and Lekki have regulations on the kind of buildings that can be erected there, and also the purpose of the building. So, you would hardly have a church or mosque by your window or a club banging music all night.

These estate regulations also ensure residential buildings in the estate remain strictly residential, eliminating kiosks and shops. This makes the neighbourhood of the estate uniform and very neat, with houses following a set pattern.

3) Amenities and Infrastructures

Most parts of Lagos and Abuja still lack good roads and drainages, poor power supply and the government water supply is very unreliable. Modern estates in Lekki, Mowe, Ajah, Abuja comes with basic infrastructures e.g. street road, drainage, security houses etc.

Fully serviced estate in places like Ikoyi, Ikate, Chevron, Jabi, Lifecamp etc provides outstanding facilities like green area, sport centre, Gym, swimming pool etc. Serviced estates mostly provide a central power backup and water plan, guaranteeing 24/7 power and water supply to residents.

Although these serviced estate houses would cost you more, trust me you deserve more comfort compared to the extra amount you’re being charged.

4) Recreational facilities

Why stay in a place where you’re always locked up inside your home, because there is no place to catch fun outside without being robbed or disturbed. When you live in these estates in Lagos, Abuja etc, you and your kids can play around within the safety of the estate.

Some of these estates comes with a gym, swimming pool and kids playground, so your kids can ride their bikes, horn their sport skills while you can also keep fit in the gym.

5) Perfect Titles

This the most important reason you should choose houses for sale in an estate, because this means 80% of the paperwork has been done for you, in terms of C of O, building approval etc.

The peace of mind you enjoy without harassment while building or living in your home, or fear of government demolition is worth more than the extra millions you are paying to buy estate houses in Lekki or Abuja.
